Pre-wedding skincare tips for brides-to-be!

1/7 Skincare dos and don'ts for brides-to-be!

As you get closer to your wedding day, it's important to pay attention to your skin, as it needs to look the best. If you want a radiant skin and want to have the best photos, then we have a skin care plan for you. We've charted the dos and don'ts of skincare tips to follow a few months before the big day:

2/7 Avoid invasive treatments

If you have been getting any invasive treatments, it's better you avoid them right now. From chemical peels to laser, steer clear from aggressive treatments. A lot of brides-to-be indulge in invasive treatments, which take months to show results and that's why you should avoid them during this crucial time.

3/7 Don't touch your face

If you get a pimple, just relax! Acne scars can take months to fade and that's why you must avoid pricking the pimples. Go for spot-treatments and if there is any scar left, you can use the pure form of aloe vera gel on a daily basis.

4/7 Use gentle skincare

A lot of brides-to-be indulge in expensive skincare creams, serums and what not just a few months before the wedding. However, experimenting with intensive skincare products can be a risk. Stick to gentle and natural potions.

5/7 Get your sleep

A good sleep will combat dark circles and also relive stress, which can lead to pimples. A proper sleep will keep you calm and relieved.

6/7 Reduce alchol intake

Just a few days before the wedding, try to reduce your alcohol intake. If drinking, make sure you drink enough water along with it. This way you can avoid swollen face and puffy eyes.

7/7 Go for trusted facials

If you go for a facial a few days before the big day, make sure you go for tried and tested facials. Avoid over-exfoliation and go for gentle cleansing instead. You can also indulge in face masks to get smoother and nourished skin.

A blind pimple doesn't appear on the surface on the skin. It's a bump, where the acne is formed under the skin. Such kind of a pimple is painful. The pain is caused due to the pressure the bump is causing under the skin. That's why the surface above the bump is sensitive and shouldn't be touched and pricked. You can easily feel the bump but can't see it!

2/7Why does it happen?

Such acne happens due to the build-up of bacteria and sebum. If you have large pores and oily skin, blind pimples can happen easily and also when proper cleansing is not done. The bacteria gets trapped under the pore and forms deeper down in the skin.

3/7How long do they last?

If they remain under the skin, then the acne can take months to disappear. If they start to inflame, then it might appear on the surface of the skin and can disappear easily.

4/7How to handle

Picking and squeezing will only make this kind of acne worse, so no matter what, don't touch! A blind pimple needs to be calmed and they are actually just impossible to pop. Trying to squeeze will cause pain, increase inflammation and even lead to major scarring. The best way to treat them is to visit a dermatologist. You can also try the following things to treat it at home:

5/7Try salicylic acid

The acid is known to be one the best acne fighters. It helps to dry a pimple. For blind pimples, you can use cleansers infused with this ingredient. If you have really sensitive and dry skin, use the product only on the concerned area.

6/7Calm the inflammation

If a pimple causes too much pain, then use ice therapy. Wash your face with a salicylic acid cleanser like mentioned above. After cleansing, use an ice pack 2-3 times in one hour's time. It will help to cool the area, relieve the pain and also reduce the swelling.

7/7Destroy the bacteria

You can also try benzoyl peroxide, which helps to kill the bacteria. You can try this for big cystic big pimples. However, stay cautious and use this product properly. Make sure you moisturise the area and do spot-treatment only. Also, use it less and if it stings, wash it off immediately.
