Lord Vishnu, one of the principal deities in Hinduism, is said to have many incarnations (avatars) in order to restore balance to the world and protect it from evil. The most powerful incarnation of Lord Vishnu is considered to be Lord Krishna. According to Hindu tradition, Lord Krishna is considered to be the supreme deity and the ultimate source of all knowledge and truth. He is said to have incarnated in order to restore dharma (righteousness) and defeat the demon king Kansa and his followers. Lord Krishna is also widely revered for his teachings on Bhagavad Gita and considered as one of the most important texts in Hinduism.
